Endline Assessment of Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health Program in M-West Ward, Mumbai, Apnalaya’s 2025
"An endline evaluation was conducted to assess the impact of Apnalaya’s ‘Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) Program’ in improving health outcomes among marginalized communities in M-West Ward, Mumbai. The study aimed to evaluate service coverage and quality, effectiveness of healthcare interventions, the role of Aarogya Sakhis, and the financial burden of healthcare on the community. The evaluation included a quantitative household survey with 455 female respondents—pregnant women and mothers of children aged 0–59 months—and a qualitative component comprising 12 key informant interviews, 4 focus group discussions, and 5 case studies."
