The "Study to Assess the Energy Power to Local Medical and Healthcare Facilities in Jharkhand," conducted by Smart Power India in 2022, evaluated the impact of renewable energy-based mini- and micro-grids in providing reliable electricity to healthcare facilities in rural Jharkhand. The pilot program aimed to enhance healthcare services by addressing energy consumption and demand. A cross-sectional survey was conducted across 104 health facilities in five districts—Hazaribag, Ramgarh, Ranchi, Bokaro, and Dhanbad—assessing the potential for future mini-grid installations and their effectiveness in improving energy access for healthcare infrastructure.
