Baseline Study on Elimination of Mosquito Borne Diseases (EMBED) Urban Dengue Project - Family Health India (FHI), 2020
The "Baseline Study on Elimination of Mosquito Borne Diseases (EMBED) Urban Dengue Project," conducted by Family Health India (FHI) in 2020, aimed to support the state vector-borne disease control program's goal of malaria elimination by 2030 while expanding to include dengue prevention and control. The study assessed knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to dengue prevention and management in Kanpur and Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), as well as Bhopal and Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh). Covering 1,900 households (from intervention slums and a control group) and 180 healthcare providers, the study provided crucial insights into community awareness and healthcare infrastructure for dengue control.
